Four-Year University

The Dream Project Scholarship

Affording college can be daunting, and immigration status should never limit academic opportunity. The Dream Project Scholarship supports immigrant students navigating unique financial and systemic barriers in pursuit of higher education. This scholarship awards $4,500 annually, renewable for up to five years, to help students achieve their educational and professional goals.

Eligibility Criteria for New Applicants
  • Graduated or will graduate from a Virginia high school
  • Identify as an immigrant whose immigration status creates a barrier
  • Plans to enroll full-time in an accredited two- or four-year university in the United States
  • Maintains a minimum of 2.5 GPA on a 4.0 scale
    Other requirements outlined in award letter
Eligibility Criteria for Renewing Scholars
  • Maintains a minimum of 2.5 GPA on a 4.0 scale
  • Sustains good progress towards timely graduation
  • Attends a minimum of two Dream Project events
  • Other requirements outlined in award letter

SCholarship Deadlines:

  • Final Applications Submitted

    February 9, 2026 at 5:00 PM EST

  • Recommender Letters Uploaded

    February 15, 2026 at 11:59 PM EST

  • Online Interviews for Selected Applicants

    Early March 2026

Technical & Community College

Career & Technical Education (CTE) Scholarship

The Dream Project CTE Scholarship awards $4,500 per year, renewable for up to five years, to immigrant students pursuing career-focused post-secondary education in skilled trades or technical fields, such as plumbing, electricity, and information technology.

Eligibility Criteria for New Applicants
  • Graduated or will graduate from a Virginia high school

  • Plans to enroll full-time in an accredited two- or four-year university in the United States
  • Maintains a minimum of 2.5 GPA on a 4.0 scale
